Akie Nakata es una artista japonesa que se dedica a pintar piedras transformándolas en animales. Su pasión por las rocas comenzó cuando era niña, ya que coleccionaba piedras que iba encontrando por la calle. Fue a partir de 2011 que empezó a dibujar animales en las pequeñas piedras. La artista realiza unas creaciones bastante realistas, adaptando la forma de la piedra a la del animal en cuestión, consiguiendo resultados increíbles gracias a su minucioso trabajo.
